Since moving to the UK from Australia at the age of six, Ollie has made quite the impression on English polo.
His early polo days were spent playing in the Pony Club for the Cotswold alongside his long-time friend, and now unsurprisingly favourite teammate, Charlie Hanbury. In 2018, the duo, together with James Beim and James Harper, won the highly sought-after Gold Cup together.
Ollie first represented in 2012 and went on to make his Coronation Cup debut in 2014 at the age of 24 – an appearance which saw him become the youngest player to represent England for the Coronation Cup for 18 years.
“My father and grandfather both played polo for Australia, so polo is in the blood.”
“I’ve always loved the sport, it’s my passion and I’m very lucky to be able to do something I love to make a living.”
“As for the future and what I want to achieve within the sport, to have a crack at playing the Argentine open would be the dream.”
“I don’t think I will experience another feeling like winning the Gold Cup with an all English team of mates though – it’s a career highlight that will live long in the memory.”
“I’m honoured to be working with Hurlingham Polo, the brand’s lifestyle and polo clothing really appeals to me – the quality is fantastic and the vision going forward is so exciting.”
