Rated at 10 goals, Nina Clarkin is the highest ranked women’s Polo player in the world and comes from a family steeped in the sport’s rich history.
Nina’s father played for the renowned Foxcote and Stowell Park teams, winners of numerous high goal tournaments in the 70’s and 80’s, and later went on to become Chairman of the HPA.
It was therefore only a matter of time before Nina herself picked up a Polo stick. Following in her father’s footsteps, Nina has gone on to win numerous trophies – including the prestigious British Open Gold Cup – and is a stalwart of the England national team.
Nina is a true pioneer of the women’s game and has undoubtedly gone on to inspire young girls from across the globe to get involved in the sport.
“I first started playing Polo when I was 6 years old at the local pony club, the Cotswold. I loved playing a team sport that was fast-paced, action-packed and adrenaline-filled. However, it is the ponies, and the connection you make with them, that is the true icing on the cake.
“I’ve been lucky enough to experience many incredible moments in Polo, but I’d have to say that my career highlight to date was winning the British Gold Cup in 2003. Representing England has of course been a great honour too and winning the Gerald Balding & Holden White in England is another great memory.”
“I’ve been so impressed by everything that Hurlingham Polo has produced, and, with new every collection, the quality and design of pieces continues to incrementally improve. The technical clothing is terrific – the women’s kits fit perfectly and feel great on. You can really tell that everything has been lovingly created and I’m extremely proud to be a part of the Hurlingham Polo family.”
